4. Report illegal content
Does a listing, a photo or a showcase seem illegal to you: a scam, a vehicle that does not exist or is stolen, a tampered odometer, shocking content or content that infringes your rights? On each listing, the “Report this listing” link opens a form that asks you for everything needed. You can also write to infos@vehigo.be, for example about a showcase, stating:
- the address of the page concerned, for example the link to the listing;
- what seems illegal to you, and why;
- your name and email address, so that you are told what action is taken on your report;
- that you are making it in good faith, believing the information given to be accurate.
Each report is examined by a person, diligently and objectively. You receive an acknowledgement of receipt, then the decision taken and how to challenge it. If content is removed or a seller is suspended, the seller is given the reasons, without learning your name or your email address.
This address is also Vehigo’s point of contact for the authorities of the Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services, as well as for the users of the service (articles 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, the Digital Services Act). Accepted languages: French, Dutch and English.
5. Advertising
The page “Insure your car” is only open when at least one insurer appears on it. It is advertising: the insurers and insurance intermediaries on it pay Vehigo to be presented there, all in the same way and in an order drawn at random at each visit. Vehigo publishes the page and the general text on car insurance; each insurer is responsible for its presentation, its covers and its contact details.
Vehigo is not an insurance intermediary and does not carry out that activity: it gives no advice, does not compare offers, takes no request for a quote and passes no data of a visitor or a car on to the insurers. The insurance contract is concluded directly with the insurer.
6. Intellectual property
The Vehigo name, its logo, the design of the site, its texts and its code are protected by copyright, and its data by database rights. They may not be reproduced or reused without the publisher’s written consent.
The listings, their photos and the showcases belong to the garages and private sellers who publish them. Their systematic extraction, for example by an automated program, is prohibited.
7. Credits
Design and development: Julien Jacobs. Typeface: Plus Jakarta Sans (SIL Open Font License), served by the site itself. Icons: Lucide (ISC License).
Postcode positions, for the search by distance: based on GeoNames, under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Vehigo derives one point per postcode from them and corrects a few misplaced villages.
